Frozen Winds

Matthew 24:4-8, 10-14

VERSE I

Out here in the distant, there’s a feeling in the air

A storm on the horizon, true excitement everywhere

I can feel the wind blowing cold

VERSE II

Sleeping by the thousands, aimless action draws a tear

Aging without knowledge of an ever present fear

So bring your hearts to the fire

CHORUS

Blinding cold closed your eyes, then hardened them with lies

And now you see, not just in dreams

Come the frozen winds of war

VERSE III

Dominoes in motion, snowball reason to a freeze

Scope of vision changing, doctrine shifting with the breeze

The battlements are weak with apathy

BRIDGE

Don’t trust everything that you hear just because it tickles your ear

Many will say that they are The Way, but don’t be misled by their games

VERSE IV

Sightless superstition mocking what we need

While right below the surface is the battle where we bleed

So bring your hearts to the fire
